As another one of the 'IT professionals' on this forum, I had meant to avoid posting in this thread as it became an inane thread pretty quickly. I'll try to refrain from commenting again...

Join in the fun as an average person not an IT professional. Some of my IT professional friends have them and have a lot of fun with them. We know about the technical limitations it has but some of us around here are just having a lot of fun talking about consumer use of the device. Nobody (including me) is taking the subject seriously. I don't even own one but i'm having fun talking about it.

I find it interesting some of the uses people are coming up with to use the device. Shooting that video is just one of those uses. Sure there are better cameras, and better people that can do videos but that's not the point. IMO watching the creative way it can and will be used over time is very interesting and enjoyable.

Loving my iPad 2. It is damn slick. Web browsing is improved and the form factor feels good. The smart cover is so inventive and convenient. So far I've been web browsing, e-mailing, Face Time in full screen is nice, and various fun apps. :thumbup:

PNG, did you have WiFi issues with your old iPad? If so, has it improved with the iPad 2?

I never really did. There was supposedly an update or improvement in one of the iOS updates. Even before that, my WiFi never didn't work. Signal strength appeared to get better with the update.

The iPad 2 has been great. The A5 chip is noticeably faster. I know we're not talking about a full out computer and processing massive files in Adobe Illustrator but it is zippier than the 1, which wasn't bad.

Honestly, my iPad 1 is still pretty great. I would have been happy with it but I "had" to upgrade. ;)

It's just crazy how hot these things are. Demand is insane. I believe there is still a two or three week wait for online orders from Apple. I've seen people still lining up pre-opening at my local Apple Store in hopes of snagging one that just happen to come in.

I'm glad we got ours right out of the gate. :thumbup:
