I just recieved my 1500 Mediabridge. I have an 03 X5 with DSP but no nav or cd changer. I have both the 6pin and 3pin connector in the rear. I hooked up the unit and while everything comes thru on the dash, I am getting no sound from ipod/aux/sirius. Do I need to install the DSP adapter?? Please help.

Likely you are Digital DSP and would require the adapter.

Thanks Tom.
So I would just install the adapter and use the 6pin from the adapter and the 3pin from the rear? Then attach the coax from the adapter to the amp? Also where is the best place to get the power from for the adapter? And do you know which fuse goes to the amp/radio so I dont have to disconnect the battery?

We use a purple/white wire in the wiring bundle near the amp, this is 12V switched power.

Fuses are marked in the glovebox, I don't recall which exact numbers are for the radio - but your fuse card should show this.

Just ordered this set up with the Sirius tuner. So I can install and leave it all in the trunk no need to run it to the front in not desired? Thanks.

We have a number of people that have older iPods dedicated to their BMWs that go this route.

All equipment can remain in the cargo area if desired.

I'll let you know when I install it. Thanks

Did you order the 1500? You will have to run the mic up front. Other than that, everything can remain in the trunk (my setup).
