Tom,
My 1500 has been working great with my Iphone 4. I use it with bluetooth and noticed after finally updating to 4.2.1 that I can use the steering wheel to control music over BT. But the radio still just says Playing instead of actually saying the title and artist. Do you know if this is a limitaiton with the Iphone or with the 1500?
Thanks

Are you playing a MP3 on your iPhone or streaming audio?

With the 1500 you can play music over bluetooth. This can be either Mp3s or streaming audio (Pandora, Slacker Radio, etc.). The sound quality is good, around radio quality - not as good as if you plug it in.

From what I understand, streaming audio (Pandora) will not display artist/title on the MID display. Only Mp3s will show those items.

Bought a MB1500 from EAS. Still working on installing this.

I had a question for the EAS guys:

- for X5 microphone placement, can you put it inside the console above? (see attached picture -- in that area with the grille). Would I face it directly down?

- how many phones can you pair with the MediaBridge at one time? If >1, how do you determine which one has priority?

Thanks

We've done this before, you can install the mic behind the grille and secure it in place with hot glue. This gives an 100% OEM presence.

Max paired phones is 4 units, the MediaBridge will always connect with the phone that was paired last if 2> phones are present at the same time.

Thank-you sir.

1) With mic that way, do you have any issues with noise level, etc? is there a way to adjust microphone gain?

2) how do you manage what phones are paired? or if you pair more than 4 phones, etc, does it knock the old ones off? thanks.

1. We noticed no difference in sound quality with stealth mic placement.

2. The 1st paired phone will be bumped from the profile when a 5th phone is paired.

I'm playing MP3's when I am looking for the song data. All I see is "playing". Nothing about the song or artist.

Are you playing the MP3 while connected or streaming via A2DP?
