:iagree: and also having TMC is only useful if you live somewhere where they are broadcasting information that the TMC system can utilize. Currently not deployed in the U.S. :tsk:

Also, how do you get to that TMC sub-menu ... not seen that before.

The Emergency option is also on the main menu, with full functionality. That TMC sub-menu was available in the Map Positioning sub-menu; it is not available anymore after selecting/deselecting it it (it works the same as the Perspective if you revert back to V26, as long as you don't mess with it it will remain in the screen).

Unfortunately no, the beta version code still shows up plus the Accept screen. I was not expecting a miracle anyway... :D

Does anyone know why it only works on MKIV and not on MKIII? Is it bacause of hardware limitations?

After BETA Update you must at BMW Dealer the Nav Unit with GT-1 Codieren. After Codier process the Nav Unit have with Accept screen and Aux-Vent, etc.

I have followed the download instructions and burned the CD. As a check that I haven't screwed up, could someone please confirm the size of data stored on the CD? - I have 55.7MB.

Thanks

I had been having problems with my nav volume previously, that BMW UK Technical Department completely failed to resolve. I then followed your instructions for setting absolute nav volume which solved the problem. I'm not even sure they knew the service menu existed!

Guys-just wanted to again thank all for this. I was faced with purchase of Alcohol 120% for $55. I renamed file from .mdf to .iso so it is image file. Then I used DVD Decrypter to burn image file to CD-R and worked very fast and easy. Saved from buying Alcohol 120% and wanted to give heads up to anyone in my position with trial period of Alcohol being up. You can download DVD Decrypter from the following website. Pete's website is very informative:
