At this point I haven't heard of any other reasons to do so. I'll be working on putting out an X5world version today so that people who liked my X5world V26 version will be able to keep that custom splash screen.

Ok to this update but now some questions come into my mind....

This update is not for the prospective view, because this option is
hidden. so:

1. why to hide this WODERFULL feature? maybe it isn't stable yet?

2. if this update is not for the prospetcive view what are the new
features? it corrects some bugs? more speed in calculating itinerary?
or what?

1. I agree that Perspective mode is a WONDERFUL feature. I'm not sure why BMW opted to hide the activation of this in the hidden service menus, but I feel pretty confident that BMW wouldn't have allowed it to be released on the final V27 version if it wasn't stable. I've been running the hacked V26 version for quite some time now and it's been rock solid.

2. I haven't heard of any other new features besides perspective yet. But BMW has made lots of Nav OS updates over the years without having any major enhancements (until V26, that is). So likely it's just some additional refinement of the software code.

does v27 work on MKIII or only MK4?

MKIV only...

Could anybody please post a picture of the map view setup menu you'll get after having turned perspective on? There should be three choices then, right?

And is birdview available in both modes i.e. pointing north and travel direction?

I have upgraded my MK4 now but I'm going to downgrade back to the improoved v26 from x5world. There's no chance get pointing north perspective as it was in the x5world V26. It ran rock solid and I couldn't find any advantage in v27.

Would it be possible make the perspectice point toggle between pointing north and car direction in v27?

That was the only chance for BMW to remove the t26.09 from the market

anybody get a crc error when unrarring the rar (v27) file???
