You may need to restart your system after GTK+ installation to update environment variables. If it still not working - try to copy 'navtweak.exe' to the GTK BIN directory (path_to_your_gtk_installation\BIN) and run it from there.

Here is my contribution - a new sky :)

I have changed all my POI icons for smaller, nicer looking ones (I'll upload them here in a few days). They all seem to be working.

One problem:

How do you change the colours on the map? I've changed the colours in rom_col and it has no effect on my maps at all. I'm going to change colours in the others rom_col_X to see what happens.

Has anyone had success with colour changes?

Great program.

Is there also a possibility to change the menu language with this program, I tried to place the dutch file renamed to english but I'll get an error when I do this.

Interesting

- All the colours under rom_col through to rom_col_11 are identical (EDIT: Actually, they're not. There are three main 'themes' of colour - the blue, brown and the mini's green. All can be seen under 'colours for widescreen')
- If I change the 'default map area' colour under col_rom, nothing happens (EDIT: See my later post for explanation)
- If I change the 'default map area' colour under map colours/col_rom_1, SOME of the map background colours change (only when the BMW display colour scheme is BLUE)
- If I change the 'default map area' colour under map colours/col_rom_3, SOME of the map background colours change (only when the BMW display colour scheme is BROWN)

I still can't work out how to change the colour of the main road & freeway labels. On my map they're either Black on Yellow or White on Blue. I would like to change them to Yellow on Green & Blue on White.

In the end this is just all a bit of fun (and an enormous waste of time!) but if I share what I've discovered so far, hopefully others will beat me to it! :)

Again, great program Nomad.

I've attached a zip of my POIs, including my base PSD file. It is a WMV - change the extension to ZIP once downloaded.

Can this programme be used to change the color scheme of the main menu?
Would love to have something different from brown or blue!

You can change 235 colors in each of 12 color profiles.

nitramluap 06-23-2006 07:46 PM

So far, I believe that...
- rom_col_1 is for the blue colour scheme, and
- rom_col_3 is for the brown colour scheme.
- ALL 12 colour profiles are look similar, except for the colours under the 'colours for widescreen' section.
I haven't tested this out more as I've got far too much real work to do at the moment. In a few months I will have a good fiddle though :)

I guess this means that we could in theory have a 'night mode'. If we made the rom_col_1 the day mode and rom_col_3 the night mode, switching between the two would mean changing the Colour Setting in the Set Menu.

It almost looks too easy! (which means it could be...)

What would be nice (Dear nomad, oh guru, if you're listening :)) is if we could have some 'preview' images which display next to the colour changing window so that we had a rough idea of what exactly we were changing. Some of the names aren't exactly obvious!

Used profile number depends on current color scheme, day/night switch (probably on car model and split screen option). I have no clear formula.

I have only a name of each color item. It's not possible to make a preview without the information on how each item used by the system.
