No. You don't have to downgrade.

If you would have read this post carefully, you would have found your answer - somebody explaint it in this post on page 5.

Shortly: If you have a Hex-editor program like Ultraedit you can upgrade the application version from 0710 to 0720 in 2 files: lng_rel.tbl and sw_rel.tbl.

The Nav-Computer than will recognize the software as new and will install it.

Kind regard.

Are there any instructions for using the software. I'm computer literate, but don't know where to start.

Do i edit an iso image?

Is there a how to?

Thanks in advance

You should get the whole OS as an iso. Pick the "navboot" file out of this iso and change it. Put it back and burn the (changed) iso. Then install it to your nav computer.

"navboot" is stored in v_2/rr/0101/bmwc01s/app_sw/

Does anyone have any funky colour schemes they want to post?

I am just trying it out for the first time but am having trouble working out which colours in the "colours for Widescreen" are for which part of the screen!
