Everyone, please don't take the following as a challenge but rather as an inquiry. Normally where can we get the information to the questions asked regarding different releases? I mean, to those sharing your knowledge, please cite your source.

Correct, V30 updates the NAVI03 nav unit fitted to E65/E66 cars only.

V30 does not contain any changes for the Mk1, Mk2, Mk3, Mk4, NAVI01 or NAVI02 - all of which are included on the V30 OS disc.

I got this information by looking at the nav OS versions which are written on the V30 disc itself

BMW Navigation OS disk V30 contains:

<Navi> <SW version>
Mk1 = 8.0
Mk2 = 8.1 colour / 9.0 mono
Mk3 = 6.3 colour / 5.1 mono
Mk4 = 9.1 colour & mono (no change from V29)
NAVI01 = 7.3.2
NAVI02 = 8.4.4
NAVI03 = 9.6.04 (new!)

OS disk part number = 01 59 0 141 891, Index W

So yes, there are changes, and the changes affect the NAVI03, fitted to E65/E66

Use the ISO file and burn it with Toast

Thanks B M W, is there a freeware program to burn the disk?
Don't have Toast.

You already have all you need.

Eric,

If you are just wanting to burn the image file on a Mac with no editing or anything, you don't need Toast or any other fancy tool. You can just use the standard Disk Utility program that comes with MacOS X. It's located in the Utilities folder and you will see that there is an Images menu which allows you to do a bunch of housekeeping to images, including burn them.
