I updated my NavCoder to the latest build today and attempted to code voice recognition of a friend's car. I followed the instructions as posted above, but gut an error as soon as I hit "Code."

Any ideas? I'll attach the log file to this post.

Fitted with a TCU type Everest part no 918 1864, HW64, SW09, CI07, made Dec 2007

The TCU is fresh from BMW, never coded

The TCU rejected the core coding with error 0xB2
Possibly because the VIN number was empty.

The TCU accepted the emergency number coding

I have seen this before and when I coded it, ensuring I entered the VIN, it worked.

Try with a VIN as well.

OK, that worked... sweet. Coding took, power cycled the car and voila, success!

That was using the latest TCU (84109195455), in a 2003 330xi, USA model.

Can Navcoder be used to code the foglights to stay on when the highbeams are turned on?

Is that allowed in the state of New York?

Anyway, I've never seen any coding to do that, which doesn't mean it cannot be done - it simply means I don't know.

in NCS you can do that

I know a few people that have done it. I think they did some coding to the LCM. Reason I want to do it is because I have HID foglights, and whenever I use the flash to pass on the high beams it will turn off & on my foglights in rapid succession.
