As for the bulb out thing... I've replaced every headlight--and taken it to 2 dealrs... No one can figure out what the heck is wrong with it... I'm open for any other ideas, but the damn light indicator just wont go away. =)

Maybe then the monitoring circuit is faulty, will be interesting to see if NavCoder can turn it off.

Or else a poor connection between LKM and the bulb.

Are you saying that right now NavCoder cannot turn off the warning lights on a prefacelift e46?

Thx

Hoping so... The dealer replaced the LCM and instrument cluster already and still couldn't figure it out...

I'm currently solving the issue with the "electric tape mod"

haaa... and yes I realize this is beyond ghetto... The damn light was driving me insane

I'm saying that as no-one can diagnose his fault, maybe the monitoring circuit is faulty, and if so, I don't know how the LCM will react in this situation

NavCoder CAN turn off the warning message.

OK, then its worth a shot for sure... Spending 30 euro on the interface kit is a lot cheaper than paying the clowns at the dealer to poke around aimlessly at my car for hours...

Great, So I have LED bulbs that fire off the bulb warning lights. I'm pretty sure I disabled these yet they still flicker and fire off the bulb warning system. I will try again at weekend.

Anyone know how long it takes to get the registration code after you pay for NavCoder?

My serial port to ibus interface just came in and I ripped apart the trunk, fired up the software (it read the LCM properly!) and then I hit "code" and I got a need to pay for the software message... Oops.

Anyhow, just paid via PayPal... anyone know how long it takes to get a key? Is it a minutes, hours or days thing? Want to know if I should call it a night and reassemble my car or if I should wait...

thx!

It takes around 5 minutes, provided I am awake and online :-)

thanks! Didn't know if it was some automated process or not... heading out to the garage now... ;)

Jochen... Good news... Got the code and registered the software OK and connected to my CD changer input in the trunk... The software reads the LCM as the LCMII (not e46)... Anyhow... I have a warning light out, so I unchecked all the warning lights, hit "code," got the message that everything was successful, turned the car off for 10 seconds etc...

Unfortunately, when I turned it back on, the warning lights where still there...

Any suggestions?

Thx
