:thumbup: Yes you can use it, I have done two upgrates v26 on german BMW (X5 and E48)

Before I have also done the upgrates v24 and v25 to this cars and also with the German/French/UK English languages

I just performed my upgrade from v23 to v26 and it went flawless. What a difference on the screen with more details!

I also want to say "THANK YOU" to the folks that put the directions together. Your dedication and hard work is most appreciative. This board (again) has been a valuable resource to me. :bow:

Well since this is by far one of the most watched and followed thread here, I wanted to encourage anyone who has not donated to X5world to do it now (what a great way to say thank you) and for those who have alreay done so, to do it again! About 4 mins and no problem.

I now need a driver so I don't get distracted by the new map.

Upgraded went really smoooooooth! No problem at all!
Map display is hell of alot more clear now! Great upgrade! :)

Just got on qs! How do you get the petrol stations to show up on the maps?

like in this one (nitramluap's post) : Click me Click me!!

You need to select 'Information' and navigate to either 'Info on Location' or 'Info on Destination' and select a category (it needs to be the lowest level of the category to show the respective icons though).

For example, to show Petrol Stations, select 'Vehicle -> Petrol Stations'. A menu listing all the petrol stations will display. Now, instead of selecting one of them, just get back to the main menu by selecting the 'back' button until you're back to the beginning.

Now when you have the map visible, all petrol station icons will appear. If you select a different category the icons for that particular group will appear. If you want to then remove the icons, select 'Disable Icons' from the 'Information' menu.

Just for the record... first time I tried to do the update, It said loading software and then the screen went blank (before the progress bar).

I left it alone for like 15 minutes, no luck. I turned the car off and played with the eject button for a couple of minutes and finally the CD came out. Tossed it in the trunk and left it alone for a couple of hours.

I came back with a newly burned CD a couple of hours later, turned the key to position 1 and inserted the newly burned CD and left the car alone. Came back 15 minutes later, it said the upgrade was complete and to push OK.

Problem solved.
