Does that include Dr. Fauchi?

Yes, they are extremely difficult to watch and because of the necessity for stroking his ego it puts the input of the experts in question. Are they spinning the truth? Rather than flat say they disagree with something are they holding back? I continue to watch hoping the government will take a universal stand on what the states should do. The government needs to centralize distribution based on urgent needs for supplies and stop states and the government from outbidding each other and running up the cost of a mask, for instance, from $.85 to $7.00. As it is stands states are most likely ordering far more than they guess they will ever need as a precaution or stockpiling. Bulk shipments of supplies could go to distribution centers like those of Walmart which are in every state. Break them down and use Walmart trucks to get them where they need to go. Amazon could be another option.

I don't agree that we need to focus restrictions on the hot spots. All that means is there will be more and more hotspots and the spread of the virus will be faster. We need universal restrictions and that will only happen if the government mandates them. If the states want more stringent restrictions that's fine but this wait and see what happens when we know what will happen is crazy to me.

I've stopped watching the white house coronavirus briefings. Like Crystalworks I just can't stand watching trump perform his one man show anymore. Whatever urgency and truth that the experts intend on bringing to the American public just gets twisted and molded to fit Trump's personal needs.

The callousness in his voice and those eyes devoid of any empathy reminds me so much of Bernie Madoff. Such a frightening trait to have in a president.

Better to listen to our own state's governors and get the latest information from CDC, WHO and NPR directly.

It's strange that mask wearing has not really caught on in the states. Every time I visit the grocery stores I just feel so naked without having a mask. But NOBODY is wearing them!!

There's no way of knowing whether you are a carrier of the virus or not, yet NOBoDY is wearing them.

Just yesterday morning I saw 5 old men and women in their 60s power walking on the sidewalk. Each about 2~3 feet from one another. Chatting as they walked. No masks.

How is this helpful??

I see maybe 1-2% of shoppers in the grocery stores with masks on. Maybe .5% with mask and gloves. Makes me wonder where all the masks from the home improvement stores have gone if no one is wearing them. We have one new one here from a remodel a year ago and are saving it for if anyone shows symptoms (maybe the wrong thing to do but that's what we're doing).

Personally, the family is at home 95% of the time and at Grandma/Grandpa's 5% of the time. I'm the only one who leaves now for gas, groceries, or to pick up/drop off my daughter's school work from her school on Mondays. Pretty careful about distances (>10ft if possible) and always use hand sanitizer after an interaction before having an opportunity to touch my face and again before getting into the X5 or 5 series to avoid touching surfaces with contaminated hands. I feel with these precautions if one of us gets it... we're probably almost all going to get it and we did our part to try and avoid catching or spreading it.

To your point Maruzo... all we can do is what we can and hopefully those who didn't heed the warnings are the ones dying. Callous I know, but if they don't care about themselves or the rest of us... it's hard for me to.

If you are not yet infected or have to be in contact with people having some symptoms there is no point using a mask unless it's class FFP3 or better because the virus also spreads as an aerosol. If you have a mask save it for anyone having symptoms to protect other people.

When ever possible washing hands with soap is better than using hand disinfectant.

Notice that Trump's support group takes the stage and has to stand looking at the press silently so Trump can make an entrance. Certainly they didn't come out without direction and they wouldn't come out if Trump wasn't already there. They know about the time for the press conferences and they never start on time.

This virus is no joke. A friend I went to HS with and his other half both have it. My friend has been at hospital since Wednesday last week and is finally well enough to be off of oxygen as of yesterday afternoon. I worry being so close to NYC and there are 26 cases in my county.

26 reported cases and the actual count is more likely 10-20 fold.
