Maybe this is one of those products that you dont' realize how useful they are unitl you acutally own one.

Thanks to this thread I ended up getting a Garmin StreetPilot. It has so many advantages over Mapquest...

1. Like gresch said a lot easier to see a live moving map than looking at a piece of paper while driving.

2. Easier to see upcoming streets on the Garmin than squinting to see street signs (especially at night).

3. If you take a wrong term it automatically recalculates a new route in seconds.

4. You can change your route on the fly.

5. Points of interest are great and especially good in the Garmin. Want to find a Chinese restaurant - easy.

6. ETA is a nice feature so you know when you will arrive.

7. If you want to try a new route you can give it a go without worry about getting lost.

8. Traffic rerouting is nice.

9. Lost - simply hit the home button.

10. The copilot leaves me alone.

That's a great price for the 360. I have the 350 and think it's just fantastic. I don't think you can beat the functionality and the form factor of the Nuvis.

i own the nuvi...a couple of cool features i dont think were mentioned. 1) its the size of a deck of cards, so when traveling somewhere, you can throw it in your pocket, change it to pedestrian settings, and use it for walking around. i live in nyc and tested in in the village (off the "grid") and it worked perfectly. 2) u can buy SD cards for different countries. in september i went to italy and rented a car. i inserted the slot, and drove from bologna to parma, modena, and around the countryside. italy is tough sometimes no matter what but it was pretty helpful being able to look at the map, and listen to directions in english. i also used the nuvi to find my way in venice, which also has a lot of twisty/windy streets seperated by a lot of small canals. battery life unplugged isnt great, if i remember correctly about 2hrs.
