iTunes/iPod Help!

Good morning

I am DJing/playing music for a graduation party today (the DJ backed out at the last minute). So I ripped my iPod to my laptop and borrowing speakers to plug into. Anyway, how to I overlap the songs by a few seconds so they flow?

Thanks!

Create a Playlist, Michelle. The iPod will actually flow from one song to the next very smoothly...

I did that...but I'm pretty sure that when I got my iPod it would overlap the songs like 3 or 4 seconds. I remember turning that off, but now I can't figure out how to turn it back on!

Im pretty sure there's an option under "preferences" in i-Tunes that gives you that option...Just click on the i-Pod at the bottom of the screen when its hooked up to the computer and theres a place where song transition options are available...

Talking

Michelle, if you have the songs on your laptop, just use iTunes....go to Edit.....then Preferences.....then under the "Playback" tab, you increase or decrease the "Crossfade Playback"

Good luck.

Best thing I ever did was to get the Airport Express and connect it to my stereo and used one of my computers with iTunes to stream the songs over the air to the Airport Express which was connected to my stereo's Aux Input and Voila, no need for a DJ......Hours and hours of music, etc.

I think it starts @ 5pm!! (at least according to your watch).....I got sick of watches running out of battery so I have the self-winding kind, but then again, you'll always have to wear the same one or get a box that keeps those self-winding watch wound! Ugh!

Michelle- you probably already know this, but turn off your screen saver and exit all other programs (even as much as you can exit down in the taskbar) and turn the visualization in iTunes ON. You'll avoid audio hiccups this way.

BTW...try to put the songs with cold or natural endings (non-fade, abrupt endings on a hard note or vocal), in front of songs with long intros (10 secs or more) so that you don't step on any vocals!

What your refering to is crossfade playback. It is located in your preferences. Check the playback settings. The further towards 12 you set it the more it mixes to the next song. Remember the feature is NOT avaliable on the iPod. Just the computer
