I rarely give any viewpoint in any of my posts, and when I do I start the statement with "IMO". The rest of my posts are mostly just an assortment of facts. I prefer if people read the facts and form their own opinions. The reason for most of my posts is that I find many of the people here know nothing more about what their talking about than a bunch of untrue propoganda which they have read in the mainstream media. It's like two people in the year 1400 arguing how "long" the earth is because they both know it to be flat, and each tells the other one they are wrong -- meanwhile they are both clueless. When someone corrects them and tell they the earth is flat, and cites a few scientists who made the same claim, they are called a conspiracy theorist and the scientists must be conspiracy theorists too - not because they have a history of such - but simply because they are making this same claim.

Discussing whether or not NYC needs this extra homeland security money is just as rediculous a discussion as discussing how long the earth is until you reach the end and fall off.

The entire homeland security dept. serves no purpose other than the hand out no-bid contracts to large corporations. Now there are no more contracts to hand out in NYC, so they will move on and do the same in other parts of the country. NYC never needed any of these things in the first place and it will make absolutely no difference in how safe NYC is. It's just a big waste of tax money, but then again so is almost everything that the Federal government uses our tax money for. Maybe they can take some money and actually do useful things like fix the roads, clean up the dirty streets, fix the schools, etc. Spend it on our infrastructure and stop wasting it.

I'm sorry if you've felt disrespected. If I had intended to disrespect you, I'd have called you a sh^t-stained piss blivet.

Ha! Made you look twice!

You shouldn't feel disrespected because people publicly disagree with you, and do so strenuously. It's called free speach, and it can get a little noisy sometimes.
