The Popular Mechanics article has some misinformation, and in some cases outright lies. What I find interesting is that half of their "conspiracy theories" that they debunk are ones that I have never heard of before, and certainly not ones that have been endorsed by the 9/11 truth movement. They might as well debunk the theory that Elvis came back to life and carried out the 9/11 attacks.

What's interesting is that I have never heard even a single piece of evidence tying the 9/11 attacks to Al-Queda. I just hear over and over that Al-Queda confessed. The one video recording was clearly not Osama, but was some other Arab guy who did not even look that similar, and as for audio recordings, there is no way to prove authenticity.

So I'd like someone here to give me some actual evidence that ties Al-Queda to the 9/11 attacks. No confessions. I mean actual evidence. There is absolutely none.

If you start with an open mind and explore the facts, your research will not lead you to Al-Queda. But instead, most people start with the assumption that Al-Queda is guilty, and challenge the 9/11 truth movement to prove that they are not guilty. You cannot disprove a negative. I cannot prove that Al-Queda is not behind the 9/11 attacks any more than I can prove that Aliens have never visited the Earth. The burden of proof is not on those trying to disprove their involvement, but on those claiming that they are guilty.

History is going to eventually put this terrible attack in the category of the USS Maine, Lusitania, and Gulf of Tonkin attacks -- all staged incidents to gain popular support for war. Unfortunately, in each and every case, the truth was not disclosed until many years later, long after the war had ended.
