I am surprised to see no thread on the amish shooting

Can I just say how shocked I am about this story it's dreadful just dreadful.

Ok yes I do come from Dunblane yes my Mum was there on the day Mr Hamilton decided to pay a visit.

So this is very close to home for me I can never get my head round what makes people do this. Shocking.

I haven't really been paying attention to the news lately. I saw bits and pieces this morning. There are no words to describe these situations. What makes these nut jobs tick? I heard it was some kind of grudge against the Amish? Three school shootings in as many weeks. Is nothing sacred?

IMO society could learn a lot from the Amish. I watched a girl who had two of her cousins killed come out and say she forgives the killer and that the girls time was simply up. There was no anger, no screaming..no crying. Just understanding that life (so to speak) happens. One other cousin said he had no problem, nor would anyone else, with the wife of the killer coming to the funerals or staying in the town.

I wish the media would get off their backs and stop filming these families like Hyenas waiting for someone to fall apart.

Does this sick POS really need to be discussed?

Well, I think I'm one of those who didn't learn a thing from this. If anyone ever killed one of my kids, there would be absolutely zero forgiveness on my part - not ever. If he didn't kill himself, I'd have done it for him. IMO - that's not "life happening", it's inexcusable murder. He was a sick bastard, period. Having said that, I'd not put any blame on the wife...

I'm not sure there is much to say.

The media is devoting quite a bit of time trying to develop some rationale for it. It reminds me of "I Don't Like Mondays" by the Boomtown Rats:

"You can find no reasons, 'cause there are no reasons"

We are all appalled. Not much more to say than that.

Seriously though, just disgusting and words can't add anything to what happened. And the media should just leave the Amish alone like Wagner said.

How come none of these killers ever walk in on a card game with a bunch of drug dealers sitting at the table and start blasting them? It's always some school or some post office or...wait a sec...I can see why you might shoot up a post office after all.
