I agree with Jay, if you don't want to fool with this just get an electrician to install an AC outlet behind the panel and install a 2" conduit in the wall that exits by your AV gear. I was quoted $250 for this work when I was considering it.

Then all you have to do it buy a good mount.
So any competent electrician should be able to hook this up then, huh? Im on the horn. Thanks for all the help! Funny...before I started the thread, I called this AV installation company near me about what options I had. They said there were a few "easy" ones, and offered to come out next week and do a consultation for only £75!! $150 bucks! Three minutes on here, and its sorted!

all you need is a
1) Flat head screw driver
2) A can of ready mixed plaster $20 @ Home Depot
3) A Stud Finder $20 at Home Depot or Sears
4) And a plasma mount $80 at Costco
5) A good Drill

I had my bedroom LCD TV on the dresser for a while until I decided to tackle this, it took me 25 mins in all honesty, the 25 mins included reading the intsructions and removing the TV base. it's actually very simple

IF YOU WANT IT DONE CHEAP DO IT YOURSELF

IF YOU WANT IT DONE RIGHT DONT ASK FOR IT TO BE DONE CHEAP

it is very easy to do I prefer using big ass lag bolts to support extra weight so you need to use an electric impact wrench to get them in instead of a screwdriver but overall the post above is dead on this stuff is easy as hell...relocating the wires behind the TV is the only thing that is difficult or requires thought in the whole process
