Hmm...just thinking....
2004 X5 4.4........17mpg (91 octane) 2006 Mustang GT 4.6........21mpg (87 octane) So the poor design is getting better gas mileage on worse fuel.

The big three needs hits like the original Ford Taurus and the Chrysler mini van. The best mini van or four door family car (like the Taurus) today is made by Toyota or Honda. This what is wrong with the big three and pony cars are just a distraction.
