Guess Pony cars is all they know how to do
January 5, 2007 The Chevrolet Camaro concept was one of the stars of NAIAS 2006. For NAIAS 2007, Chevy unveils the convertible version of the Camaro concept. The Camaro convertible concept, wrapped in Hugger Orange pearl tri-coat paint with twin gunmetal gray sport stripes, is based on the original Camaro concept, with only minor changes required to accommodate the convertible body style. Chevrolet already has announced production plans for the Camaro, which will go on sale in 2009. A production convertible model will be added later that year. http://www.naias.com/SubPage.aspx?id=2164 I think that Vete is great but bring back the Camaro is really not necessary. Why does GM have to make similar models they would be better off offering a low end version of the Vete. |

Because GM is GM and they never learn.

That is like asking them "why can't you design ONE genuinely great car instead of making 5 similar mediocre cars under different GM brands?"
They'll learn one day..........after Toyota takes over the world. |

Actually it makes alot of sense. The pony-car segment is the only segment that is uniquely American and it's currently occupied by only one model, the Ford Mustang, which continues to be a strong seller. The Camaro would also compete in the sports 2-door coupe class currently dominated by the Infiniti G35 and BMW 330ci/335ci. This is one segment in which there are very few cars.
The Dodge Challenger is also due to hit this segment within a year. GM has to build this car, period, end of story. GM already makes 2 very low-end versions of the 'Vette - the Pontiac Soltice and Saturn Sky. |

Principal: Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul. Billy Madison: Okay, a simple "wrong" would've done just fine.

I would take the time to explain the reasoning behind GM's re-release of the Camaro to the original poster, but from prior experience, I have decided to not waste my time.
