I am not judging the soldiers. I am giving you reasons why they are hated in Iraq. I am not suggesting it is their fault. In the history of war, rarely has their been an invading army that has been liked in any country. The American soldiers are victims in this terrible war just the same as the civilians are.

And no way would I ever go to Iraq, even if there was no fighting there now, with the high levels of depleted uranium in the environment. It would probably be safer to stand in a nuclear waste dump. If you all think "Gulf War Syndronme" was bad, you just wait another 5 years and see how "Gulf War 2 Syndrome" shapes up. It's going to make the first one look like a common cold.

It is a pretty simple concept, with out the IED road side bombs and random hit and run tactics, coalition forces would not have to feel that they have to keep moving to avoid becoming a statistic. Attacks in the past have come from being boxed in during traffic jams etc. Unfortunately, the rest of the populous has to bear the brunt of the reactionary tactic of "keep the convoy moving" ..there is really no other way to go about avoiding setting up yourself from being a target of opportunity....and I am sure it does not win friends or influence people either.

It makes sense now. When I first looked at it, It looked any other neighborhood street. I guess that is the sucker punch.
