I heard this morning there were people stuck on I-78 in PA for over 12 hours on Wednesday night. I'd fookin shoot myself.
Anyone else have cold weather supplies in the X? Blanket, water, always make sure you have plenty of gas etc?

I live in eastern PA, and yeah what a mess on I 78- still closed this morning. Weird set of circumstances set that up. We had about 3 hours of snow, 8 hours of heavy sleet and freezing rain, and another 2 hours of snow. I heard that the water equivalent was like 2" of rain. A couple of semis jacked early in the day, and no equipment could get to the wrecks due to all the traffic. By the time they could get the vehicles out, the storm and resulting low temps welded the ice/snow to the road. They're out there with road graders trying to scrape it off. 10 degrees this morning and salt does jack s**t when its this cold. Won't open until the sun hits it.

I've got trucks on the road, kept them away from PA Wednesday. Had a guy stuck in Carlisle yesterday. It's not fun in my business when it snows.

Only places I've seen a snow melter trucks are in major cities or at airports, and they have to be fed with a wheel loader. If you are referring to salt trucks PENNDOT has a pile of them- 2000+ across the state. Problem is that salt won't work much below 20 degrees F, was 10 this morning.

Don't worry Feb is almost done, then March & April will begin the assent from less than 30 to greater than 50 temps and by May it will be 70 and all will be right with your world
