While I'm probably not at the Good DrDrex's skill level, I have been riding
~45 yrs with not ever having being "down" in the street, (other than a few Tavern TipOvers),
but I wish no ill to any rider.

It was however, an odd post and an unusual "how to" question...
I still wanna learn how to land the damn plane.

On downwind approach, place flaps into first position, you should be anywhere from .5 to 1 mile from center line of runway. Once the end of the runway is at approx the 7 or 8 o'clock position turn plane left 90 degrees. This is the cross wind portion, place flaps into second position. Once the end of the runway is slightly ahead of the nose of the aircraft turn left 90 degrees again. You are now on the final leg of your approach. Place flaps into 3rd position and while using throttle and attitude, get the plane into approach speed. As the plane gets closer to the ground you will have to continually adjust throttle and attitude to maintain speed. Once you are close enough to the ground JUMP OUT AND RUN LIKE HELL BECAUSE YOU ARE GOING TO DIE OTHERWISE!!!

where did anyone wish ill on the OP? In all sincerity I think warning a noob off from buying a superbike as their first bike is probably going to save his/her life and or save them from serious injury.....

Aww C'm Drex, I can't believe you're thinking my reply was in any way serious...??

To anyone that remotely understands high-powered motorcycles, the inital post is just not serious. The answers given are bound to be as flaky as the post itself...

No harm intended, just some obvious, healthy, sarcastic humour. And I doubt we're talking about a fellow rider. Anyone who's ever ridden a motorcycle woundn't ask such a silly question; Obvioulsy the best thing to do is to discourage a non-rider to initiate 2-wheeled activity with nothing less than a Superbike.

Cheers,

This thread has definitely made a lot of people give opinions and reason!! wow!!... I guess I did not make it clear. I do know how to ride bikes, just not superbikes. I ride both motocross bikes and jeje-scooters. I just wonder if the superbikes were different. The answer is no. They are the same as motocross bikes just a little bit heavier and faster.

thank you all for the good advice (the ones who gave good advice) and the bad ones ( you`d problably keep them away from your own children)

Hey Lam,

This is a friendly board. It may not have seemed that way in some posts. I believe everyone was concerned for your safety.
Please let us know what you end up doing
on the bike issue. g/l!

Becareful, as the biggest difference between dirt and street is that the crashes are worse on the street. Be careful.

What I still don't get is that you have a 600 Honda street bike,
(fairly guick, as in it will walk 99% of the cars on the road up
to its 140ish limit), then wonder about "superbikes", which you
should be familiar with, specs-wise, eg usually heavier, liter motor
and up, even more blindingly fast, usually don't handle quite as
acutely for most riders, and then jump to M'cross which is almost
a different species.

I'm confused, but the barrister must have known what he meant
by his question and, he got a lot of good answers.
