Yes I would rather have the x-ray and yes I was being a smart ass.

I take a lot on one way air flights and always get selected in the those cases they used a medal detecting wand and don't pat down. Don't know if this is a change or what?

depends on the airport...some use wands...Denver uses this thing that shoots puffs of air at you..now there is this...basically all pretty useless accomplish no more then a standard metal detector if people really want to get things on board a plane they will it just gives the non realistic people a false sense of security to keep the airlines in business.
