You should vote for Ron Paul for President...he believes full on that the US should have zippy involvement in foreign affairs.

Eric, your duplicity regarding Venezuela (among others) is shocking. Your attempts to cover it up, more so.

Anything other than that is by definition a "double standard". On the other hand, I'm pretty sure you guys think the United States should be involved in the affairs of other countries, but they better dare not try to be involved in our affairs or the affairs of our allies. Does that pretty much define your position? If not, please correct me. I'm guessing you cannot even answer this simple "yes or no" question: Do you approve if a country invades another country because the other country was doing something to threaten their security? "yes or no" answer here. The reason why you cannot answer this question, is because your answer would be different depending on which country we are talking about. If we were talking about Venezuela or Iran, you would have one answer, but if we were talking about the US or Israel, you would have an entirely different answer. On the other hand, my answer would be an absolute "NO" regardless of which country we were talking about. If you think I am being inconsistant, then provide me with a similar type of question that proves it. Bring up the issue that I am inconsistant about and I will answer the question.

You know how much the Saudi's and China have invested in the US???? Talk about involvement.......
I'm sure you are one that thinks we should aid the Sudan or increase AIDS research in Africa...but God forbid we do anything you don't deem humanitarian. Love the worlds selective view of the US, love them when they need cash, hate them when they impose their views.

We have a free market economy, and last I checked it does not place limitations on who can invest. If we wanted to pass such laws, then Congress should pass them and the President should sign them. On the other hand, some countries DO have such laws. And we have to respect that. And I'm pretty sure ALL countries have laws about being involved in an attempt to overthrow a government, assassinate a leader, or something similar.

How is it different? If anything, financial warfare is stronger the military warfare.
