That's because you've been brainwashed to think that drugs only do bad things. You are not aware of their positive effect on individuals and society.

Does it not mean anything to you that MDMA was successfully used by psychiatrists for 20 years as a love drug for estranged couples, before it was recreationalized and labeld a Class A drug. Do you know that it was invented my Merck, the pharmacutical company that makes most of the drugs in your cabinet.

Does it not mean anything that thousands of people have had VERY positive effects from drugs like MDMA, like curing speech impdeiments, social anxiety's, etc. Do you know that ecstasy in many cases has helped people cure certain types of depression?

Or, you just discount there positive effect without the knowledge or understanding of why some people take and use drugs?

Either way, to say drugs are bad, "at any level".. Doesn't really address all the great things drugs have done for society, not just today, but over the entire course of human development and history.

Do you really think that drugs are ONLY bad and don't serve any positive use what so ever?

Do you know (so i'm told) that ecstasy makes you think and feel great?

I'm referring to their illegal use, not prescribed use supervised by an MD.

Settle down - you're over-reacting.

LOL.. Believe me, I'm not hyped up.. Just trying to make a point. Yes, some drugs are bad.. And yes, in excess, ALL drugs are bad.. But to make the assumption that a certain drug is bad, just because it is illegal, is blind logic.

There are and always have been a lot of powerful, positive uses of drugs like, mushrooms, LSD, marijuana, MDMA (ecstasy), etc.
Not everyone who has done LSD looks and sounds like Tommy Chong. And not everyone who has tried ecstasy has been some 14 year old kid with glow sticks and a pacifier.

I could understand how a man of the military might look at things like drugs and might immediately assume, it's all bad. And in many cases you are right..
But the people's whose lives are truly destroyed by drugs are the minority not the majority, of people who have experimented and even benefited from drug use.

The fact is that today the use of drugs, including illicit drugs, has become acceptable to many, viewed as a part of everyday life. Considering the widely publicized damage caused by illicit drugs as well as tobacco and alcohol one might want to consider weather in reality the recreational use use any drug is benificial.

It seems to me that if one were to just stop and think for a moment about the word "Drug". By it's very definition i'm at least sure about one thing, that the use of it does not promote clear thinking.

In addition for some the first time use of a drug for recreational purposes can cause permanant irreversible damage. With that in mind i don't believe that encourageing it's use to anyone for any reason is benificial.

That's the height of irony to me.

Honestly, I'm not sure you understood my point, as you continue to argue yours.

Oh well.
