I already know that. The cons outweight the pros (in my opinion)

What cons do you see with unlocking the I-phone? I seriously don't get you. Unlocked I-phone mean you can use it almost all around the world, U don't have to become a ATT customer to use it.
I don't understand how you fail to see the benefit of it, seriously!

#1 I don't plan on going around the world any time soon.
If I did the wife has GSM. I can Buy a card overseas if i need it.
Been there done that.

#2 I can't see buying a phone, unlocking it so some of the features will be
disabled. Not much value in doing that IMHO.

#3 If i had an iPhone i wouldnt unlock it to use T-mobile. T-mobile isn't
worth much where i'm located.

#4 Seriously: Nothing to understand or get. As i said "In my opinion
Unless it came unlocked it would be a waste of time.

If you read the rest of the thread you will note that i have in the past
unlocked phones. In fact on more than one ocassion i had to educate
cellphone providers the value of the unlocked feature and provided the
codes for doing so. But in those cases the devices saw no loss in function.

In this case the iPhone is still relativly new and there are no guarentees
regarding how this unlocking feature for the iPhone will work out. Better
in my opinion to error on the side of caution then end up with a brick.

But for those who want to test the waters that's fine with me.
Ya get me now?

I am pretty sure with the next software update they will disable several features on unlocked iphones to discourage others from unlocking.
