What people do with their iPhone is their business and of course it's not a concern or issue to others until they publicly post it on an internet forum and gripe about it. Then....... They make it other peoples business. So my point is simple; If what you say is true (and apparently it is) then why gripe about it.

I, for one, enjoy this cat and mouse game. I was in the middle of things when Canon firmware for the DSLR got hacked (awesome hack), I was there when the XBOX got hacked (chipped it right away), been modding DVD players for 4-5 years. I guess I am a tinkerer and feel I own the device I paid for and can do whatever I want. I may end up with a paper weight but then it is my responsibility. I don't understand why we are making a big deal of this issue.

I see value in some of these hacks and that is why I chose to install the hacks. Some people don't. BIG DEAL!! Don't do it.

If iPhone remains locked like it is, my unlocked phone just went up in $$$ (ebay anyone?). If the software gets hacked again more power to the hackers.

When I was in Korea a few years ago, the military base exchange was selling "hacked" XBOXes, which came with several games on the (upgraded) hard drive.

I'm still kicking myself for not having bought one!

Well, I have NOT griped about it. No clue where you got the idea that I've been complaining about what the latest Apple update had done to the hacked iPhones.

What I disagree on is with the notion of just complying and being a robot for the sake of being "right"? Hacking(good one's) puts manufacturers/companies on their heels and make for a better product.

My response also said "until they publicly post it on an internet forum and gripe about it" the operative word here is "they". I never said you (TQ2K) "griped about it".
