Okay, so Tiger made the cut on the number with a bogey / birdie finish today. Anybody think he can make it onto the first page of the leaderboard by Sunday? I won't be too surprised if he does (he's currently 12 shots behind Mickelson).

My last four rounds have been good nine / bad nine (not necessarily in that order). On Wednesday, I tripled the first hole after trying to play a smart second shot that went in the hazard across the fairway I finished the front at 39 (38 adjusted). Then I three-putted #10 and couldn't get anything to work on the back until #18 which I birdied from behind a tree. I ended up shooting 80 (79 adjusted).

Tomorrow's our club championship. I am playing one of my regular Wednesday golf buddies in the first round. Should be fun

I'll bet anything he's on that first page by Sunday. Though, I have to admit, I'd love to see Phil win it.

I think Tiger will make it close too. I don't think Phil will hold up (or DL3) and unfortunately, Vijay will probably win.

Weirsy has an M5 too. I don't think he's a forum type of guy though He does post on his web site.

So Tiger's on the first page of the leaderboard as many had predicted. That chip in for par was amazing. I was expecting him to hit the pin on #17 which was the only way stop it but he just missed :p I doubt it will be enough for a playoff. I rooting for Bjorn tomorrow. I'd also root for Elk but he wasn't nice when he played in a charity tournament at our club back about eight years ago. In his defense, maybe his back or allergies were bugging him that day.

Locally, I won my first match 5 & 4 yesterday but in the second round yesterday I lost one down on #18 with a bad drive I didn't hit one good driver in the second match which did me in. I think David and I only halved five holes out of eighteen and the lead changed hands something like five times. This is the same guy who beat me last year so I'll have to practice hard for the next year and figure out the driver for next year The junior club champ came back from four down after ten to beat the defending club champ yesterday and I won't be surprised if he won today.

I shot 77 and 80 in my two tournament rounds so that was respectable (two under and one over my handicap). These aren't true scores since I didn't hole everything out because some putts were conceded. OTOH, you play a little more agressively in match play so it mostly evens out.

That's some good playing, dude! Congrats!

Just imagine where Tiger would have been had he not had that one bad starting round... Amazing.

Thanks Juan. If I could get off the tee well and hit the long irons better I'd be a much better player, I think. The drive killed me on #18 yesterday.

Yeah, and Tiger uncharacteristically left three putts just short today. He seems to often get off to a bad start at the majors but is always on the leaderboard on the last day.

Divorce Derby!

Heading down the Mtn to play With TheCEO, in our annual Mixed Mem-Mem
2 day tournament, aka The Divorce Derby, :p .

Most play with their spouses and it's a hoot.
Today, Sat., is a 2 person scramble and tomorrow is
modified Alt Shot.

Our goal is to not finish last and still be civil to each other
by the end of tomorrow.

I'm still struggling at 13.5 HDCP Index/15 Home and theBoss
is a 26 Home. It should be interesting and fun.
BR,md

PS: Hope Calc can hold on up in the Great Western North Country.

Have fun MD tomorrow. My GF doesn't play which is probably just as well as I can get ornery when I'm playing badly.

I played a course that's about five miles away for the first time today. It's hard to go past my own club which is about par 5 from the house :p

Started out okay one double and five pars through six but fell apart, especially on the back 40 47 The highlight of the day for me was I drove just over a 308 yard par four but only made par because my chip broke a lot and I played it at the hole Cut the corner to get it there, I can't hit it 308

Stupid game
