played today too.. let me tell you... whoever tells you that equipment doesn't really improve your game is WRONG! I picked up a TaylorMade R7... what an awesome club... I have it set to full draw and am getting at least 15 yards more on my drives.. completely changed everything... I'm hitting the ball more confidently and I am really not thinking and doubting myself on any of my shots... my short game is also getting slightly better... 83 today on a par 72. woohoo..

I played a course that's about five miles away for the first time today. It's hard to go past my own club which is about par 5 from the house :p

Started out okay one double and five pars through six but fell apart, especially on the back 40 47 The highlight of the day for me was I drove just over a 308 yard par four but only made par because my chip broke a lot and I played it at the hole Cut the corner to get it there, I can't hit it 308

Stupid game

Good shooting Josh

I haven't taken the R7 plunge yet. Still hitting my 580 XD and Nike 460. I hear Nike's coming out with an awesome driver toward the end of the year or January. My typical drive is a slight fade but I hit a draw into the par four that I drove today. The draw does make a huge difference in distance although Tiger's drive is often mostly air without a lot of roll.

Shot 74 and 81 this weekend. Today I made a 10 foot putt to shoot 45 on the front and shot 36 on the back. It seemed like a totally different golfer for each nine.

Yesterday was much more exciting: I started out with a triple and eagled the 9th to shoot 37 on the front. I was +1 going into 17 and made double. Ended up with a 74 (+3).

Gore's looking good at the 84 lumber. I met him a few years ago in Tucson. Very personable.

MD: how did the Divorce Derby go last week?

H: Congrats on your rounds, espc. that 74!

The DDerby was "fun" as usual, but we stunk up the joint...came in 4th from last of 30 some 2 person teams, after 2 days.

TheCEO has been busy quilting/fabric art and playing bridge...she's only chasing the ball once/wk lately; thus, it was like a 1 man team, me. And, I sucked for both days. NEway, fun...sorta. Nice shooting by you, H.

I haven't played in a week since we were in MI this past week doing a min-tour of seeing ol' roomies from college and a 40th HS reunion.

Thanks MD. It was totally unexpected. I shot 87 last weekend. Don't put me on your team if you want consistency :p

I think the couples events are more social than anything... it's a really bad idea to take them seriously
