Question Painting My E-Z Pass?
I swore there was a thread that talked about this, but I couldn't find it, so here goes:

I just got my E-Z Pass in the mail. I want to paint the part that is against the window black so that it won't stick out like a sore thumb. Has anyone done this before? Does it screw up the signal in any way?

I don't see why it wouldn't work. I'm thinking of doing something similar. I now have a stick-on E-Z Pass holder and probably going to wrap it in black paper (so it looks good from inside and out).

I have used my E-Z card with another parking card (twice the thickness of a credit card) in front of it and the E-Z pass worked just fine.

the only way a signal would not get through is if there was metal in the paint.

don't know about EZ pass, but the Fastrak we have in the Bay Area technically doesn't belong to the owner of the car; they expect us to return it eventually, either for replacement because of battery, malfunction, or updating; so make sure you actually own it.

Actually, I think it's the same. It's supposed to be returned when you're done with it... So Michelle probably should not paint it...

I tried to get that one, but was told those are only for commuters. I got the one that never expires.
