Mmmmhmm, Hypocrite!

I work in the insurance field, and prices run the whole gamete from expensive to cheap depending on preferences, don't pull that BS

AND while your at it, your insurance rates are sky high in your state (considered a "last resort" state) due to government intervention and reform, hence pushing up the cost of care, lovely

..wish I could stop paying for HC for my employees..

Not sure how I could sleep at night knowing I was more concerned with my bottom line then the families that relied on me.

Oh and Erik, why is it that you can't seem to cough up the money for a Premium membership?

My company is actually in New Jersey. And the cheapest HMO plans I can find are around $600/month for a single employee and more than double that for a family. And that is a plan with very high deductables and somewhat limited coverage.

Just 5 years ago, the cost was less than half of that, and 10 years ago it was about 20%. The cost seems to double every 3-4 years. Yet the price of the product I sell has not gone up in the last 15 years.

Please explain. Because these plans are from private insurance companies. I'd like to understand why anything the government does causes insurance rates to be higher.
