I used to have a bicycle, ab machine, leg press/thigh abductor. I got rid of them all (too cramped in my small space). I now use my blue ball and 3# weights. Works for me.

Not trying to knock trainers but why do u need one long term... once u figured out what muscles do what isn't it sorta obvious? Should also be easy to motivate u'reself and set u're own goals....Then again if having the trainer helps u commit and makes it enjoyable then why not..

Also i think u would get better results with better equipment...i do bench but i also believe in isolating muscles for development and sometimes better equipment helps that(particularly lower back)...If u're benching 195 then u have to work the leggs as well so they don't get left behind and i don't see any equipment for u're hamstrings and calves??

House looks great.. No bright colors and the harsh concrete make it simple and appealing...The weider weights are the brightest thing in u're house

Bowflex and an elliptical machine.

Trying to get back in shape. After a health scar in a trafic jam on the 5 in San Diego (lost my sh*t) two years ago at age 34, We moved out to the midwest, less stressful job, less travel, and more time to work out. Now I'm a really good shape we are ready to go back to SoCal.

Thinking of a personal trainer for just few weeks to get into a better routine!

I use a trainer because, to be honest, if he didn't show up, I would take the day off, or week off, or month off, or year off.
It's a motivational thing, if he's there, I'm gonna work out. If he's not, I'm gonna sleep in. Besides, I really enjoy the boxing, mitt work.

Unfortunately, I can't fit all the equipment in my house that I would like to have. As far as legs, I don't really do a lot of legs as I have very tight, natural calves and hamstrings. Since I do a lot of jump rope and stair climbing, I don't feel the need to grow those muscles. They are in much better shape than my top half.

I have a Bi-cep curl bar and free weight's that I use to isolate. But no, it's not a gym that has everything. But my goals were simple, stop gaining weight and get some exercise. (I had quit working out for a couple years while I was getting my masters degree.)

I have accomplished those goals and then some. I'm strong, I'm toned, and yes, I could stand to lose some belly weight, but I'll never be mr. six pack. I just enjoy hitting things and pressing big weight.

Yes, a basement gym equipped for what we both do regularly.

Lifecyle with heart rate monitor
A few free weights, very light
Mats
Stott Pilates reformer, professional model, complete with trapeze tower, pull-downs, jump board, rotating disks, platform extender, long box, etc
Stott Pilates stability chair, complete with split pedals and handles
Various balls and exercise bands

I am married to a certified Stott instructor, who uses it all daily. I use it three times per week most of the year, with my favourite instructor training me; in the summer I would rather ride outside.

I have no idea how people can get a workout in their own house, I would need 5,000 sq ft. + to fit all of the equipment I need. I am a certified P.T. and for $35/hr you better make a deal with him for life. Even in Pennsylvania where most shit is cheap I would not even meet someone at a gym for $35/hr let alone go to their home. That being said, you might want to think about getting some more weight for the bench 195 isn't gonna get you "strong" if you stay constant at the same weight.

Cheap beacuse its in Maine? Its at a country club, I think its a loss leader. PF will charge like 50, and the pretensious "Foreside Fitness" charges

Here's my "home" gym. 3.75 door-to-door
