South Carolina has all that, too.
I swear to god you wonder why people here are so unhealthy. Between the fact that a pack of smokes is $1.50 here (about $5 less than in MAINE, which isn't even the highest) and they can puff away while in a bar YOU'RE paying to be in, or if the restaurant has the initiative to go smoke-free, they'll huddle around the door to make you sick while you walk out to your car... or the drunk bus and the fact that healthy foods are non-existant. I mean, seriously. I haven't been in a food store without a "organic" aisle or reduced fat selections in seriously 5 years. I have to drive 20 miles to get to a Whole Foods, and don't get me started on what you get in that "home-style cooked meal"

Actually I will: 5 years off your lifespan. Ever heard of a grill?

Then again... drive 5 mph over the speed limit with northern tags and a drunk redneck in a ford dually with a dixie flag hanging off the back will "teach you a lesson" before you have a chance to approach that.

I'm not being a jerk, it has happened. ALL of it.

Weasel will become famous soon enough
And there are some of the differences between rednecks and cajuns. Cajuns have French roots with some Native American thrown in there and some creole. Nothin there but some of the best tasting food in the world, as long as you don't ask whats in it. And for some reason my chain smoking, daily devoted to scotch whiskey, fried food eating great uncle that NEVER goes to the doctor, just lives on his soy farm with no health problems at 97 years old while my Aunt who lived the healthiest smoke free, non drinking, healthy eating life a certified nurse can live just to drop dead in her house at 42 years old with no warning... turns out a small spot of cancer developed in her liver between her regular checkups and it hit her spine apparently...

Just goes to show that everyone's body is different and the health rules/choices effect people differently.
