The best of both worlds is a PDA that looks like an Iphone, browses like an Iphone, has apps and integration like an Iphone, syncs with a MAC like an iPhone.. But has a decent keyboard and better functions like SEARCH, COMBINED EMAIL, CUT AND PASTE, etc
It has a name, Xperia from SE (HTC)

Personally, I hate my blackberry. Given to me by work - I'd rather have my old Nokia back. The BB is just too clunky for me. This new one ain't going to change how I feel. I just want to dial numbers and talk to people.

my thoughts from the other thread:

I've had mine for a week. Do I love it? nope, do i hate it? far from it. But as I'm using it more, it's growing on me a lot. The first day i had it, I really didn't like it, but now? i have to say, it's a great bberry.
For anyone who is a "bberry guy", it will be a somewhat difficult transition, but not because the storm sucks, it's because i've been using a more traditional bbery for what? 10 years? and it's different. Different doesn't mean bad, it means different.

There's an OS update coming on 12/15 (over the air update mind you).

Things that are better on the storm:

Bluetooth: it's louder and clearer than my 8830 and 8130. It synched easily with my jawbone and bmw.

3G - i can now send/receive emails while talking on the phone. Awesome feature.

Full QWERTY keyboard - it took a bit to get used to the touch screen, but now it's easy.

Audio - much better than 8830.

Camera - 3.2Mp, autofocus, etc... i'm not big on camera phones, but this one is better than my 8130.

Comes with 8GD SD card.

What's not to love? Well, other than the Iphone fan-boys who are worried about bberry people being cooler than them

BBerry changed the charging cable to micro-usb, so all of my older Bberry chargers are now useless, including my car charger.

Why no WiFi on the Storm? Even the BB Bold has WiFi.

VZW 3G internet access is fine for me. But that's just me.

I have the Storm and agree that it isn't going to beat the iPhone anytime soon. I keep reading the reviews of people complaining about the keyboard. The keyboard is different, there is a learning curve to getting used to it. The SureType keyboard can be turned off by simply opening the menu and enabling mutitap. The lack of WiFi is not a huge deal since VZW's 3G network works in my area of Chicago unlike AT&T's. It's primary use is a phone, therefore I expect my calls to go through, internet speed isn't a huge worry.
I do agree that there is some lagginess in the OS. An update is due to be out around the 15th.
The version of the software that was supposed to be on the phone had a security issue that couldn't be fixed before release so an older, more stable, and slower version was re-flashed onto the phones.
