Advice or please talk me out of this - Page 2

If you have to start a thread like this, chances are, you don't need to be getting a tattoo. The fact that the thread title includes "or please talk me out of this" screams deep down you like the idea, but really don't want it. Just my opinion.... I like tattoos, I have tattoos.... your body, do what makes you happy, talk to reputable artists, and you get what you pay for.

I have/had two tattoos, one of which I DEEPLY regretted and had removed. trust me, getting it taken off is much worse and getting it in the first place. If I had a chance to do it all over again, no tattoos for me.

I'm not a parent but can tell you, most every parent loves their child.

You don't need to tattoo it on your chest for people to know it. If you want people to know how much you love your son, show them by continuing to be a great father.

Thanks guys and gals. I'm going to pass for now and if I get the urge later I'll have someone write it on my chest and live with it for awhile. For now I'll pour my heart into the portrait painting I'm working on of him. That will last forever as well.

Painting is nice but spending time with your child is what really counts.

We always tried to have dinner with our daughter and that family time seemed to make a difference.

Sounds like you are a great dad and enjoying parenthood

Yep...Spending time with your child is very important. I paint at night when everyone is asleep. I have a very flexible schedule so he spends very little time in daycare. Last night the three of us went out to dinner and took him to his first fancy restaurant and it was a great time. The owner kidnapped him and took him around to see the other patrons to allow the wife and I to do some wine tasting. There was no childs menu so his dinner was $35. He really enjoyed the Salmon.
