Auto insurance in CA is also dirt cheap. I was paying $750 a year on a brand new X5 in 2001. Compared to NY when i moved back in 2002 which was $1500.

So quitchabitchin, it all evens out.

At least it's tax deductible, "...the VLF paid is deductible for tax purposes." (from the website listed).

And I would argue that people ARE leaving California. They are coming in droves to Oregon - they're just all being offset by Mexicans, that's why you aren't noticing.
