ummm (this is just a reality, the only reason I am posting this)

No offense, but you guys should see what goes on in the back of the house or the staff off hours.

My intro (in Europe) went like this:
"What kind of women do I fook"
"Beautiful women, Chef"
"What kinda women do you guys fook?"
"Ugly women, Chef"
"Why?"
"Because you're the Chef!!, Chef."

Ahhh, those were the days....

Just imagine... You're having your dinner in a very nice restaurant
and some guy at the next table takes out his hanky and blows
his nose..... Not once, not twice, but three times..

Oh yeah ... etiquette gets redefined with the times.... .

The fault is on the previous generation for being friggin lazy in raising their kids. Discilplining= zero for the current gen.

Parents.....trust me, they are important...they make all the difference in the WORLD.

I routinely hold doors for women at work, maybe one out of 10 says 'thank you'. So I seriously doubt this is a "generational" thing. I say "Thanks, Thank you, Thanks in advance or Sincerely" in every work email I write, rarely are people ever so polite back. PARENTS = IMPORTANT.

Best movie line ever:

"..You need a license to drive a car, you need a license to buy a beer, hell you need a license to catch a fish..but any @sshole can be a father"

I too hold doors for everyone and say thank you, have a good day to those that hold the door for me. Most say thank you. Those that don't are normally young or females. What really gets me are those the don't hold the door for me, which also seems to be the young or females. Sadly, manners and common courtesy have gone out the window. I definitely blame the parents for the young ones but it's also the "me" mentality which seems more prevalent than just a few a years ago.

How about the people that hold up the line in Dunkin Donuts because they are to engrossed in their cell phone conversations to order. They actually put their finger up and tell the person behind the counter to wait.... WTF is so important...Hang up the phone, b*tch

I was in line at a deli one day and the lttle trollup ahead of me was talking on her cell going into explicit detail of her sexual encounter the night before

I think I need to go to the pet peeve thread now.

parenting indeed important.

Just an example of what I experienced a few months back - I don't get out much so as sheltered as I am, I couldn't believe people have the balls to think this is ok... we're eating breakfast at IHOP and some guy with a mullet probably age 30-35 was sitting with one other girl and an older guy. Throughout the meal he would burp as loud as possible and not think twice... neither would his company, apparently. I think the count was up to 9 or 10 before they finally left. Sometimes I'm glad I don't go out as much anymore...

The more amazing part of that to me is... there are still people rocking the mullet, in NY none the less, in todays times????

Ok you restaurant goers.
Now you're gonna have to
share your space with a
service pony.

Due to these unpredictable/ihibiting conditions that have pernanently affected my life I have a service animal. It is domestic. It is not a dog, it is not a miniature pony. It is in fact 4 feet tall at the shoulder. I am 4 feet tall at the shoulder. It carries me wherever I go and tends to my disabilities exactly as a seeing eye /seizure/mobility alert dog do. This equine was individually trained to serve my needs......

A story along the lines of this thread that my wife just told me and happened to one of her friends in Fairfield CT:

Her friend was at the beach on the anniversary of her Mom's death at one of their favorite spots. She was accompanied by her less than one year old son. Her peace was interrupted by a group of teenagers who came and started making fun of her and her kid. They were mocking her how her tiffany jewelry is fake and how she is broke. Mind you that girl (wife's friend) has a TON of money!! She winds up being harassed to tears and leaving. Luckily her husband is tough guy, and when she told him he managed to catch them and give them piece of him mind and fest!!

The moral of the story, spoiled kids with nothing to do = trouble!
