It's a shame no one is seeing these games. Versus stinks and the Cup Finals schedule is a joke.

Let's Go Rangers!!

... No Versus here, and the gang may be skating into Flag Day.
But, glad to see my ol'Wings vs. The Penquinos. Go Red Wings!

What a series! It's tied 2-2 and going back to Motown. The Pens have so much energy and momentum. The comeback in Game 4 was pretty amazing. I am hoping for a Game 7 for the sheer excitement and drama.

As a Hawks fan, I am rooting for the pens. Sid will win rings(s) in his long career but I want him to win one now . The wings are the Yankees of the NHL. Screw em. If the penguins skate hard, it will go to a game 7 and lidstrom and Cheli will have to roll out in their wheelchairs.

How can you compare the Wings to the Yankees when there is a cap in hockey? Pre-lockout I wouldn't argue with you. But in the current era it's a pretty level playing field.

Look at the number of high draft picks the Penguins have on their roster in comparison to the Wings. The Wings' stars are predominately home-grown and late round draft picks. That indicates that a big part of the Wings success is quality scouting for the draft and player development post-draft. And the great thing for Wings fans is our "minor leagues" are stocked with outstanding players that will keep the team competitive for many years to come.

Personally, I am glad to see the Hawks turn their abysmal situation around. I think it's good for hockey to have a competitive team in Chicago, and it's also good for the Wings to have a good rival in their division. I don't root for the Hawks, but I do hope they are competitive.

Go Wings!!!

p.s. - as for Lindstrom and Cheli, you are talking about two of the great defensemen of this era. Chris is certainly past his prime, but you have to admire his will and drive at this stage of his career. And Nick remains to this day one of the best all-around defensemen. Wheel chair or not, last time I checked it was the Wings that advanced to the Stanley Cup finals, not the Blackhawks

Wow did the Wings ever come back hard. The Pens seemed to barely be able to get out of their own zone. I guess that's the power of The Joe. The Wings are a very talent-deep team and are well coached. Perhaps it's that depth and experience that is carrying them over a very talented but young team.

I am cheering for the Penguins and hope they can dig down and bring on a Game 7. I think that Crosby, Malkin, and Staal will be able to step it up a notch. I'd love for that franchise to win another Cup after the years of financial uncertainty. It would shut up all the critics who like to call Crosby "Sindy". That kid is talented, strong, and one of the best right now.

"Sindy"'s cheap shots at Zetterburg in game 5 were totally pathetic. I weep if he is the face of the NHL of the future

Go Wings!!!

If Ovechkin tones down the "look at me" b.s., he could be the face of the NHL. Unfortunately, it will cost the NHL arenas millions in replacing the HD cameras' lenses when they get a close up of his mug :p

Was that Crosby? I thought it was Malkin but I did miss the first period. If it was Crosby I think that he was trying to get his team fired up and if was cheap it shows his relative immaturity but he will certainly develop well. He has all the things needed to be one of the top players.
