Good game, but I liked the first three goals for the Canucks. Glad to see the 10 day rest didn't leave them too relaxed. They lost focus in the 3rd, but recovered at the end. Great goal by Salo.

Yeah, JCL usually posts a thread about the IIHF World Championships every year.

My IIHF threads are about the World Juniors, a great series. There is also the Under 18 IIHF series. I don't tend to follow the World Championship series on now, as it competes with the run to the Stanley Cup. Players only show up as their teams are eliminated (San Jose and St Louis sent players up in the past few days). That said, Canada is 32-6 over their opposition in opening games. They were #2 in the official rankings coming into the series, but topped the Power Rankings during the series so far.

Various threads here:

2006 IIHF World Junior Championship

2007 IIHF World Junior Championship

2008 IIHF World Junior Championship

Not too much coverage in the US, but great coverage in Canada, and all in very high quality HD.
