And by the way, i'm hoping this is further discussed in the mainstream media...but i believe i read some time ago that the first accuser in 1994, Jordan Chandler, is now a adult and has recanted his story, blaming his father for orchestrating the false allegations. Now that's a story that has more merit.

I will back off, but I would love to hear some of you just admit that he was doing some creepy stuff and not let your love for his music completely blind you. I am not going to be like the media and completely do a 180 on the guy just because he is passed. Although, I too have good memories of MJ like 99% of the rest of my generation.

Exactly which media are you talking about? I have yet to see any network do any 180. Within hours after his death, multiple networks were running old feeds about the allegations and trials, and still are. The "media" has yet to tell the story of the first accuser recanting his story. Precisely why i prefer to do my own research, here's a couple for a start:

GQ Article – WAS MICHAEL JACKSON FRAMED?

Jackson Accuser in Court Against Dad

Sheeple (people) are so quick to jump to conclusions, without doing their own research, assuming as so many have, that 'where there is smoke there is fire'.

He is dead, so lets his creepy stuff be water under the bridge and talk about the good things. As the first Bush said "don't worry be happy".

Ummm, that was Bobby McFerrin.

Here's a little song I wrote
You might want to sing it note for note
Don't worry, be happy.
In every life we have some trouble
But when you worry you make it double
Don't worry, be happy.

Well...he did try to use it during his 1988 election campaign but McFerrin objected.

For the past decade he was known as wacko and quite honestly, he was irrelevant as a musician. He really hadn't had a good song in years and pretty much all publicity was negative. Now once again he is the greatest and so on. People are going to view things in different ways, and I guess you and I are seeing the media differently because most of the coverage that I have seen (numerous channels) has been positive.

But seriously...nothing creepy to you? I don't need the media to tell me it is creepy. In my personal opinion, a grown man sleeping with random kids either A) in his bed with him or B) on the floor next to his bed (if you believe that) while they are in it is very strange. Like I said adult guests are one thing, but I would bet the farm that any other random dude doing this with kids would be a weirdo to most people and to think that things went furhter than what he is admitting to wouldn't be a stretch by any means for most.

Known as wacko by whom? who coined that nonsense? National Enquirer?

And whom exactly was he irrelevant to, you? Certainly not me. In just about every bit of production work i've done in my lifetime and within the same 10 year period, i've taken, borrowed, stolen so many concepts from him it's impossible to name and number. Within this same 10 year period, i've seen and heard so much of MJ in many relevant artists that he obviously influenced.

What's creepy may be the parents pushing their children on to him and letting their children sleepover a strangers home. What exactly are you digging for? For me to agree with you that he was weird? We all have our own shortcomings and idiosyncrasies...MJ's just happened to play out in the public eye.

If his so-called "wackoness" is what gave him such godly talent, then i also want to be weird and "wacko"

Irrelevant? Because he hasn't had a hit in a few years?

Is Elvis irrelevant? How about Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, Janis Joplin, Freddie Mercury, Chuck Berry, Jerry Garcia, John Lennon, Jim Morrison, Ray Charles, Jerry Lee Lewis?

All of them had problems from being drug fiends to child molesters (and certainly haven't had hits in a few decades). Elvis was both. Regardless, Elvis is still regarded as "The King" without debate.

I Haters!

I am not sure who coined the term Wack-Jacko, but it sure stuck, everyone knows it and there is definately some truth to it. I mean, come on chilli...Elephant Man bones, pet chimps, amusement park in his back yard, plastic surgery out a$$, faked heterosexual relationships (and kisses on TV), strange sleep overs with kids, naming his own kid Blanket, dangling his child off of a balcony, showing up to court in pajamas, etc. The wacko list goes on and on, but you are chosing to to admit that for some reason. Yes, we all have our shortcomings and idiosyncrasies, but come on. He had WAY more than the average guy. It is blatantly obvious that you are not going to admit this for some reason and it is almost comical now.

I agree with you that the parents were idiots for allowing their kids to stay, but IMO, if you don't think that a 40-year old man having sleepovers with children in the same bed and/or room isn't creepy, then you either A) can't take of the blinders or B) are creepy yourself.
