Yes, king of pop hadn't had a hit in 10+ years. He was hardly ever in the spotlight except for doing something asinine or being accused of something. His star was fading. The King of Pop wasn't in the pop lime-light anymore. I would call that somewhat irrelevant with regard to pop culture. Are you trying to tell me he was as popular or relevant as he was in the late 80's early 90's? Really? How many times did you listen to any of your MJ albums, CD's, tapes in the past 10 years. I bet like most peoples, yours were collecting dust and only now they are breaking them out again.
