I'm just headed out the door to Hamersley's Bistro. Which was 1st on ackx5's list.
That'll do it. Enjoy.

I have had some, from the net, in the 20-25 buck range.
That $42 is slightly pricey, but typical restaurant mark-up...
I think they are going for $3-3.50 a freakin pound at
the dock; dunno how the fishermen cover their diesel bill,
and someone along the distribution chain, is really stepping
up the "price".

Beantown is a good place; more so in Spring & Fall. Hope
you get the Biz!

Oof...Skipjacks...sorry we couldn't warn you first!

Hamersely's is probably my favorite restaurant in Boston, even when cost isn't a factor.

Just a few recommendations in that area off the top of my head: Grill 23 for Steak; Sonsie for scene; Mistral for scene and foodie food. Seafood...lots of choices, Legal because it's a Boston institution, Union Oyster House because it's been there forever, Durgin Park because it's a proper Boston experience (read: rude as hell). In Cambridge, Craigie on Main has a great chef; Ten Tables and T.W. Food are both delightful, innovative restaurants.

I'd personally avoid L'Espalier. They moved from a charming brownstone to the Mandarin Oriental, and frankly, they left all of the charm, character, and mojo at the old place. Now, it's just another expensive restaurant in what could be just about any big city on the planet (and the food's gone downhill).

Good luck!
