Wescott kicked azz coming from behind in that group moto board race thing!
I like the gangs on the runs vs. the solo stuff against the clock.

Skied a lot as a kid/young man, but only got on a board once and it was as
comical as watching me try to surf.

Maybe JCL is hanging in that more "earthy" side of Vancouver?!

Looking forward to US vs CDA in hockey!

I love the GWN; fabulous country, very good people, imo. A friendlier,
less obnoxious version of the US...

The earthy side of Vancouver? Don't think so. Bit of a rarified place here on the waterfront in False Creek (in Yaletown, opposite Granville Island). Photo off the deck attached. That was a month or so ago, but the weather is the same today, not a cloud. 12C outside, so they should be called the Spring Olympics, not the Winter Olympics.

Yes, there are places on the downtown east side that have their problems. Not sure how that fits into an article on the real Canada, but WDIK?

Just scanning the article again, I saw the reference to Gretzky. He carried the torch down Georgia street to light the outdoor cauldron, after
Rick Hansen, Nancy Green, Steve Nash, and others carried it into the stadium for the opening ceremony. Great parties that started that night are still going on.

Thunder22 is on a distinguished road
On the first day of the Olympics, NBC did a tongue in cheek "What Americans need to know about Canada" and they said that Canada's #1 export was wheat.

I thought it was oil..

More broadly, petroleum products. Oil, natural gas, etc.

Wheat? Lots of good quality durum semolina, but not a high value export.
