Weasel, are you a member over on www.samsungmomentforum.com? Quite a helpful group and I've been able to find a ton of apps that I like. Oddly, I still haven't decided if I willing to stick w/ the keyboard based vs the Pre. I've been typing on Treo's for years, so having the keyboard oriented and spaced out completely differently is still throwing me off. Battery life on this phone is questionable too...even though none of this has stopped me from ordering a car charger, screen protectors and a 32gb microSD for it

No, I'm not on that forum, but did search on it a couple times. As for the battery life, if you go in the settings and turn off background data. That adds lots of battery life.

Ouch!! Before I've bought any phone, I usually compare them on CNET and PhoneScoop, and if possible I try them for a week or so first. I've got a TON of cool apps instead on my Moment, but I still can't stand this damn keyboard. I'm in Seattle now, but once I get back to Boise, I'm gonna have to give the Pre a try just to kill the curiosity.

I like the full sized qwerty keyboard for most stuff, but use the onscreen touch keyboard for some quick messages.
So, what cool apps did you get so far? I still need to set up dinodyno with the correct weight and drag coefficient etc. to do some decent phone dyno runs. People in the reviews said it was decently accurate when set up properly and compared to real dyno sheets...

I'm just so used to the smaller Treo keyboard, and I also like that the buttons are harder. At night I find myself squinting at the keys for the FN button functions that are highlighted in blue. Anyways, here is my list of apps and a brief description:
Air control - Basic flying game AppMonster - Used to delete apps, stock and otherwise Best Tic Tac Toe - Done on a nice sandy beach...the kids like it Bluetooth Quick Toggle - Turns BT on and off w/o going through 3 screens. My BlueAnt Z9i pairs but still has issues connecting sometimes. Bubble - Used to check level surfaces chompSMS or HandcentSMS - iPhone colored SMS messaging, has pics of the person you're writing, and easier on the eyes. I haven't decided which one I like better. Color Flashlight - Keeps the screen on so you can use it as a flashlight. Some of the other options like strobing don't seem to work. Compass - Changed to a nice looking sophisticated one, pretty cool. Have yet to actually test it. ContactsGroupU - Still setting this one up. I liked my Treo's where I could group contacts by Seattle BMW buddies, Boise BMW buddies, friends, family, etc...is app appears to let me do that. DinoDyno - Downloaded...you'll have to let me know how you set yours up ![]() Facebook - I rarely log on, but at least it's easier now FxCamera - Haven't used it yet, the description sounded decent though Have2Eat - I was trying to find UrbanSpoon, but can't seem to find it. This was recommended by guys on the Moment forums MySpace - Still never use it anymore, but I have the option Opera Mini 5 beta - Downloaded this since I could get the stock browser to run Flash videos...ie Hulu, nbc.com, etc so I could watch online shows PayPal - Anyone wanna send me money so I can see how quickly it reacts ![]() Photobucket - Have yet to load anything, see if I can copy and paste links, but it's there Pkt Auctions Ebay - Haven't used it for buying, but it's great for monitoring what I've bid on. Actively counts down the time, tells me if anyone has put in a higher bid, and can even scan barcodes so I can see if the product is on eBay...quite cool! R. Thunder Lite - Game I have yet to try Raging Thunder Lite - See above Robo Defense FREE - See above Shazam - Listens to music and tells me the artist and song title Skyfire beta - Browser that has a built in Flash video player. Sometimes it works, sometimes it crashes and doesn't Slacker - Have yet to use, but it's an online music streaming app Speedometer - Haven't tested it against the accuracy of the stereo in the X5 yet, but anything is probably more accurate than the BMW speedo! Plus it's cool that it has setting for walking, jogging, etc and will show elevations. Stopwatch - Haven't used it yet Stream Media Player - Still haven't decided if it really works, but I was downloaded to piggy back the browsers in order to play videos. The Weather Channel - I have it running as a widget on the far left of the main screen Throttle Copter - Another game I haven't played yet Transformers Sounds - Lots of various transformer voice clips from the cartoons and movies over the years. I think they can be turned into ringtones, but I haven't tried TuneWiki - Simply awesome! It's a portal for streaming from either last.fm or SHOUTcast Radio. last.fm is awesome because it runs way better than Pandora, doesn't limit how many times you can skip to the next song from your genre if you don't like that one, and if someone loaded them...it shows the lyrics simultaneously while the song is playing. TV.com - Downloaded from NBC.com so I can stream any of the shows that air on NBC. To be honest I can't remember if I've tried it or not. Unit Converter - Basic unit converter for whatever Winds of Steel Demo - Cool flying game where you actually have to move the phone all around in order to fly...kind of like we do when playing Playstation, but this movement actually matters ![]() YouTube - Kind of pointless now since TuneWiki has that incorporated as well. This one is for more general searches while TuneWiki is more for finding the videos that go along w/ the song/genre that you choose. Left screen widgets: Google search window, analog clock, upcoming calendar events, and Weather Channel. Right screen widgets: Nothing...yet. Things I still wanna find: A way to copy and paste so I don't have to remember phone numbers, weblinks, etc An app to arrange my photos into folders for easier viewing. I don't like the All Pictures and All Videos being the first two folders I always have to see. I also don't like that I can't arrange them in any order that I want, instead it's either by date or by name...stupid and very limited.

Most of the apps you listed that I would be interested in I already have, and there are a few I might be checking out in that list... And just to note it, the sprint telenav does indeed work better than my el-cheapo model garmin. Works great and always updated for free.

I used the Sprint GPS a few times, but I'm used to to GoogleMaps for searching for places, phone numbers etc. I'm hoping the 2.1 update will activate the vocal turn by turn.

yeah, there are multiple ways to look up directions and stuff on the go and I use google maps for all that when I'm in the passengers seat. But if I'm gonna be driving and need directions/guidance I use the sprint nav. That way I don't really need to look at the screen, and when I do it is more clear as a nav screen goes, not an ariel view with a line on it.
