Agreed, 30mb per sec was the best I could find for the price.

My Lumix LX5 has arrived

I decided to take a few pictures this morning to test the differences between my Canon SD550, and the new Panny Lumix LX5. These were shot at ~6:15 a.m. with low light and NO flash. Both using their respective AUTO modes. In addition, no tripod was used. I think the pics speak for themselves

uh.. nobody shoots in auto mode because the sensors are all different.. a better comparison would be shoot at a certain iso.

Uh, I do
I'm not a pro, that's why I got a "point and shoot", because I like to "point and shoot"

I'll put both in manual mode later and try to set both to the same settings for an apples to apples comparison

Apples to Apples comparison

Both cameras shooting with the same settings: ISO 100, 1/25, F2.8. Also used a tripod and no flash.

Canon SD550

Panasonic Lumix LX5

What a big difference. The P&S cameras have gotten very good. I need a new P&S to replace my very old Canon SD350.
