I agree with Ray's Rec'd...
I was caught up in the comparo between the G11 and the S90.
Have not shot the SX210, but the specs are stiff.

Don't know about flash throw distance with that cam, but most
all of the P&Ss have the same problem, as do many of the DSLRs
with pop-up, on cam, lil' flash. That SX210 is a fine cam, spec-wise,
Mich.

pics will not load because they are 4000x3000 pixels and I cant seem to change them
anyone got any ideas .
OK , sorted but quality has depleted and they are all now different sizes .
the canon will probably be as good , maybe better , I considered it but probably went for the Fuji because it`s a bridge camera .

If you want the steps to post pics, I can help...
but, I suspect Mich is buying a Canon of some species, so the
Fuji pitch may be academic. Almost all Canons come w/Zoom Browser
and can use other bridges.

Yeah, I messed up my recommendation, M. Ray's got the correct one. I knew Canon had a new high zoom model but I searched "canon 10x" on Amazon. This is still bulkier than your SD but it does have a lithium battery and better specs than the SX120.

Also, check out the dpreview.com and other sites before purchasing. One of the Amazon readers complains about low light performance compared to an SD.

the steps to post pics would be gratefully received because I will want to use this camera for all the usual diy pics and I do not want the hassle of trying to resize pics the way I had to do in order to post those 4 pics .

I just remembered the only reason for buying the Fuji was because it uses 4x AA batteries .I carry 8 spares and spare SD cards in the pocket of the carry case .
the first set of batteries are still good after 4 weeks and over 200 pics , 10 with flash . and 15 minutes of video .
I would have chosen the canon otherwise .

Here is a recommendation...try out the new Canon PowerShot SD4000IS. I know your biggest problem is low light situation, but you still want an easy point and shoot camera to use. Since you are familiar with Canon, you'll love this camera. What makes this Canon SD different from all the other Canon SD before is that this is the first Canon SD that uses a back-lit CMOS chip (same chip used in typical Hi-Def camcorders) which is great for low light situation. Also, you can shoot 720P video and it has optical zoom in video mode.

Here is a review: Canon Powershot-Sd4000-Is Review: Overview

Here is another review: Canon PowerShot SD4000 IS Review: No More Noisy Nights

Also, if you have Costco membership, you can get the Canon SD4000 in Red, Silver, or Black at Costco.com (online). Yes, it may be $340 which may be higher than other online places, but you can return it Costco with no questions asked within 90 days if you are not happy with the camera.

You can also check out Amazon.com

P.S. I also have the same camera and have been impressed with ease of use and decent low light and night time pics with it.

I looked it up and a few of my friends from my study abroad trip had the S90, and it took incredible pictures for a P+S. Its not pocket size, but it seems worth it. It runs about $330.

Thanks for the additional suggestions. I'll take a look at each of them. I like the idea of purchasing through Costco with their return policy!

I have four pocketsize SD Canons at my disposal at any time (my Mom and each of my sisters have one) so I really would like to upgrade to something bigger and nicer.
