I like the "hats"; I thought the swim team was doing cheerleading cals on the lawn.
I have seen rugby on TV but I just don't recall that "formation".
All females in the pic, huh? Whew...

I think I get why it isn't on TV often, here in the Colonies. ;>)

Well, I have to admire females that play such a rough game but I wish that women's rugby would take a cue from football and start a lingerie rugby league. That would most certainly get more time of the tube. Of course that would also require different recruiting standards as the ladies depicted are all a bit too "ambiguous".

LOL Thanks, PNG for the Rugby 101. I'll post more pictures tonight. I have a few of the "circles" and another of the lift thing.

Most of the women who play are very "butchy" and lesbian. Lots of rainbow stickers on the cars in the parking lot. Rugby is not a sport for prissy girls!

BTW Kevin - What did you think of Greg's camera??

Here are the rest of the pictures I took. All of these were taken using the "auto" mode.

Looking at those "handsome" women in the other photos, I would also run from them in a dark alley.

Greg's camera was pretty cool. We didn't really play with it much but I was impressed with the low light capabilities. We were too busy out hitting the clubs.

I fixed your post for you Michelle. I won't tell my daughter what you think of female rugby players. She played wing, and went with her high school team to the provincial (state) championships. I do agree that it isn't a sport for prissies.

You could also look up the Canadian National Senior Women's Team, who support the costs of theiir international tours with sales of a calendar each year. I won't post the pictures. We may need to get PNG a copy. I wish they had sufficient support that they didn't need to do so much fundraising, but that said, the calendar is well done. Just the ladies, a ball, and a few maple leaves. They got the idea from a UK women's rugby team.

Now, keep practicing with that camera!

LOL I completely agree with you. I think once you reach the adult/club level of rugby, that's when the girlie-girls quit. There were a few college teams in the tournament, and they looked more like field hockey/lacrosse players. My best friend played rugby in college. I never made it to any of her games. Once I went to my first Austin Valkyries tournament, I told her that there is no way she played againsted these women. She said, "oh no no no... they are brutal!" She used to have the nastiest bruises on her body. I cannot imagine how they are any less "brutal!"

Congrats to your daughter! I'm sure you've taken some awesome pictures... post them!

So I obviously need a camera more equipped for these conditions.

There was me thinking you needed the camera to take pics of cows....s'pose 'livestock' means different things to different folks
