Thanks for the replies fellas' and Liz too! I'll probably be giving you a call pretty soon. We probably won't begin construction until late Dec or just after New Year's with a closing target date of late March or early April.

I just got a 6% 30yr fixed with no points, but closing costs (around $3k). That is not a jumbo loan, just a regular one; I think new construction loans are different? Our family has a broker that we have used in the past with no complaints. Shop around and see who you are comfortable with. I'll have to remember Juans CEO for the future!
