Newegg.com Christmas
I've ordered lots from Newegg before, but I never noticed them doing this. Anyway, I ordered a few things from them as Christmas gifts for my family, one of which was for my wife. The boxes came UPS today, and my wife signed for them. Newegg didn't re-package anything, all three items were shipped in their RETAIL boxes, with shipping labels stuck on the outside. So, my wife already knows one of the items she's getting. Some things I can see getting it that way, but this particular item was a Cannon DSLR zoom lens for her camera. Not exactly the kind of item you want just shipped loose.

That is pretty crappy, especially for the holidays when most of this stuff is gifts.

They are pretty good. Being in the northeast - there's no need to pay for expedited shipping. Most of their stuff arrives next day after the order is processed.

I ordered new speakers for my home theatre system from them on Thursday, they showed up today in perfect condition.
I've never had a problem with Newegg, I hope it stays that way. That being said, I always give J&R a chance to price match before ordering from Newegg as I've been doing business with J&R for over 30 years and they've never let me down. If you need electronics, give them a look J&R: Electronics, Digital Cameras, Computers, Appliances, Software, Video Games, DVDs, CDs ..

I made another purchase at Newegg because the iPad-based product was not available on Amazon. After ordering, I remembered that it would probably arrive in manufacturer packaging (and thus make it clear that someone in the family was getting an iPad for Christmas). I contacted Newegg to see if they could put in a plain box. They said that they could not guarantee it. I voided my Newegg order successfully and am now trying to get the PayPal refund...
